Since raw food might be a new diet the best is to try it out, throwing up and having diarrhea is completely normal. Remind the customer that their pet is still not accustomed to it and that it will take some time to adapt to it.
You can also remind the customer of the steps to introducing raw food:
- Before their first raw meal, make sure that the pet has not eaten for 12 to 24 hrs.
- The first few meals should be given at room temperature so their stomach has time to adjust.
- They should start with a protein like pure turkey or pure rabbit since they are easier to digest. It takes a couple of days for the dog to adjust to the food so vomiting, diarrhea, or a stomachache are completely normal, it's called a detox.
