Purina - Pro Plan Complete Essentials Shredded Blend Salmon & Rice Dry Dog Food

TL;DR: Purina Pro Plan Complete Essentials Shredded Blend Salmon & Rice is a dry salmon dog food for healthy adult dogs, combining crunchy kibble with tender shredded pieces in every bowl. Real salmon is the first ingredient, and the recipe includes omega fatty acids to support skin and coat. Available in 6 lb and 33 lb bags.

The shredded blend format puts two bite shapes in one serving, which often appeals to dogs who lose interest in single-texture kibble. Rice supplies digestible carbohydrates, while added antioxidants round out a complete and balanced adult maintenance diet.

What makes this recipe stand out?

Real salmon leads the ingredient list, supplying protein for lean muscle maintenance. The fish-based formula is a practical alternative for households rotating away from chicken or beef recipes.

Choose from two bag sizes: a 6 lb bag for trialling the recipe, or a 33 lb bag for larger dogs and multi-dog homes.

Feeding & use

Feed as a complete and balanced daily diet for adult dogs, following the feeding guide printed on the bag. Adjust portions based on your dog's weight, age, and activity level, and keep fresh water available at all times.

Transition gradually over 7–10 days, mixing increasing amounts of this salmon dog food with your dog's current food to help avoid digestive upset. The same slow switch applies whether you start with the 6 lb bag or move straight to the 33 lb size.

Store the bag sealed in a cool, dry place to keep the shredded pieces from drying out and to maintain palatability between feedings.

Available for same-day pickup at our North York, Toronto storefront, or ships Canada-wide.
