Accessoires pour chiens

Dog accessories are the everyday gear that makes walks, travel and downtime easier: collars, leashes, harness add-ons, bandanas, boots, crates and recovery collars. This collection holds 61 items ranging from $4.97 to $191.09 CAD, with brands including Dexypaws, KONG, Canada Pooch, Kerbl and Precision Logistics.

Which dog accessories does your dog actually need?

Start with the three pieces almost every dog uses daily: a collar for ID, a leash for control, and something for weather or rest. Build out from there based on how your dog spends its time.

• Collars: the KONG Cloud Dog Collar suits dogs that wear a collar around the clock. The Ashario Pets Reflective Adjustable Nylon Dog Collar comes in medium and large, and the reflective stitching helps with early-morning and late-evening walks.
• Leashes: the Dexypaws No Pull Bungee Leash with Handle adds shock absorption for dogs that surge ahead, while the Dexypaws Hands Free Cotton Rope Leash works for runners and stroller walks.
• Seasonal and occasion gear: Canada Pooch Dog Suspender Boots for salted winter sidewalks, and Dexypaws bandanas for birthdays and photos.
• Containment: the Smart Pet Love Double Door Dog Crate gives two entry points, useful in tight hallways or against a wall.

Harness and leash accessories: how to choose

Match the hardware to the pulling style, not just the dog's weight. A bungee section absorbs jolts from dogs that lunge at squirrels; a fixed-length rope leash gives steadier feedback for training walks and hands-free running.

For sizing, measure the neck or chest girth with a soft tape and add two fingers of room. Adjustable nylon collars cover a wider range than fixed sizes, which helps with growing puppies.

Dog restraint and recovery equipment

Recovery collars, often called E collars or cones, limit a dog from reaching a bandaged or groomed area. We carry the 10 cm Kerbl E Collar for larger dogs and a 7.5 cm option for small breeds. Measure from the collar line to the tip of the nose so the cone extends far enough, and follow your veterinarian's guidance on how long it should be worn.
