Ashario Pets - Harnesses

A pet harness spreads leash pressure across the chest and shoulders instead of the neck, which is why most owners switch from a collar once walks get busier. This collection holds 15 harnesses from Ashario Pets in sizes XS through XL, priced $14.76-$20.00 CAD, in two main styles: reflective no-pull designs and lightweight summer vests.

Which pet harness style should you choose?

The choice usually comes down to how your pet walks and what the weather is doing.

Does a reflective dog harness matter?

Every harness in this collection includes reflective detailing, which is worth having through Ontario winters when morning and evening walks happen in the dark. If you walk near roads or unlit paths, treat reflectivity as a baseline feature rather than an extra.

Can you use a dog harness for a cat?

Many owners do, provided the fit is snug and the size is genuinely small. Cats escape loose gear, so the XS and S options are the realistic starting point, and a harness should sit close to the body with no room to back out of the chest strap. Let your cat wear it indoors for a few short sessions before the first trip outside.

How to size a harness

Measure your pet's chest girth at the widest point behind the front legs, then compare it to the size you are considering rather than guessing from weight alone. Small breeds such as Yorkies usually land in XS or S; broad-chested dogs often need to size up even if they are not tall. Two fingers should slide under any strap once fastened.

The full range, including additional sizes and colours, sits in the Ashario Pets collection. Orders ship Canada-wide, and same-day pickup is available at our North York store if you want to check the fit the same afternoon.
