Meowijuana

Meowijuana is a cat-enrichment brand built around organic catnip, and this collection carries four of its most popular formats: catnip-filled joint toys, loose ground catnip and buds, and catnip spray. Founded in Kansas City in 2016, the brand grows its catnip in the United States and Canada and sells it as pet-safe, organic catnip. Most items here fall between $10.75 and $14.22 CAD.

Meowijuana catnip: loose, sprayed, or stuffed in a toy?

The format you choose matters more than the scent itself, because it decides how your cat interacts with it.

  • Catnip-filled toys suit cats who bunny-kick, wrestle and carry things around. The King Size Catnip Filled Joints are the collection's best seller and give a larger body for back-leg kicking.
  • Loose catnip suits cats who prefer to roll, sniff and graze. Meowi-Waui ground catnip and buds can be sprinkled on a scratcher, a cardboard pad or inside a refillable toy.
  • Catnip spray suits owners who want to redirect behaviour onto existing gear. The 1 oz catnip spray is the least messy option and refreshes toys that have lost their appeal.

Which Meowijuana toys work for which cat?

Energetic young cats and confident players usually get the most from the king-size joints, since the size supports full-body play. Smaller, gentler or senior cats often do better with loose buds or a sprayed-down mat, where the reward is scent and rolling rather than wrestling.

For a gift or a cat's adoption anniversary, the Birthday Catnip Filled Joints cover the same play style with occasion packaging.

How to use catnip well

Catnip sensitivity is inherited, so some cats show no interest at all — that is normal and not a sign of a faulty product. Offer catnip in short sessions rather than leaving it out all day, since constant access tends to dull the response. Store loose buds and toys in a sealed container away from light to keep the aroma strong, and supervise play with any toy your cat tends to chew apart.
