Instinct Raw

Instinct Raw is a line of freeze-dried raw meals and freeze-dried raw toppers for dogs and cats, and this collection carries 14 of them, from $20.25 to $51.99 CAD. The range splits into two jobs: complete Longevity freeze-dried raw meals that feed a pet on their own, and Boost Mixers toppers that add raw nutrition on top of whatever you already feed.

Instinct raw meals or Boost Mixers toppers?

Choose a complete meal if you want raw to be the whole bowl. The Longevity Freeze Dried Raw Meals come in Adult Lamb for dogs, Puppy Chicken for growing dogs, and Adult Chicken for cats, so you can match the food to life stage rather than guessing portions of an adult formula.

Choose a topper if your pet already eats a kibble or canned diet you are happy with, or if you are testing how they respond to raw before committing. Toppers are also the practical route for picky eaters and for multi-pet homes where one pet needs extra support and the others do not.

Which Boost Mixer suits which pet?

• Digestion: the Gut Health freeze-dried dog food topper is the usual starting point for dogs with sensitive stomachs.
• Everyday nutrition: the Multivitamin dog food topper supports broad daily coverage without changing the base diet.
• Coat condition: the Skin and Coat Health mixer suits dogs whose coats look dull through a dry Toronto winter.
• Older dogs: the Multivitamin Topper 7+ for senior dogs is formulated for the 7-and-up stage; cats have their own 7+ multivitamin mixer.
• Behaviour and energy: Calming Support and Healthy Energy mixers round out the line for dogs with travel, boarding, or activity in mind.

Buying Instinct dog food in Canada

Freeze-dried raw stores at room temperature, which makes it easier to keep on hand than frozen raw and easier to pack for trips or cottage weekends. Introduce any new food gradually over about a week, mixing it into the current diet so your pet's digestion has time to adjust.

Not sure where to start? Many owners begin with a single topper on top of their current food, then move to a complete Longevity meal once they see how their pet takes to raw. Every Instinct Raw product here ships Canada-wide, with same-day pickup available at our North York store.
