Belcando - Finest Selection Grain Free Lamb Small Breed Dry Dog Food
Description
TL;DR: Belcando Finest Selection Grain Free Lamb Small Breed is a grain-free dry dog food made with lamb as the protein source, formulated for small-breed dogs. It comes in 2.21 lb and 8.8 lb bags, which suits households feeding one or two smaller dogs and wanting a bag that stays fresh.
Lamb is the named protein source in this recipe, making it a straightforward option for owners who prefer a single, less common red meat protein in the bowl. The formula contains no grains.
Belcando is a German dry dog food brand carried at Ashario Pets, and this Finest Selection line is built specifically around small-breed feeding rather than being a scaled-down version of an all-size recipe.

Who is it for?
This recipe is intended for small-breed dogs whose owners are shopping specifically for grain free dog food with a single named red meat protein. It is also a practical pick if you rotate proteins and want lamb in the rotation.
If you have a larger dog at home or feed multiple sizes, the same lamb profile is available in Belcando - Grain Free Lamb Adult Dry Dog Food and Belcando - Mastercraft Grain Free Fresh Lamb Dry Dog Food. For a different protein, see Belcando - Grain Free Beef Adult Dry Dog Food.
What should I know about grain free dog food and heart disease?
Grain-free diets have been a topic of ongoing discussion and research among veterinary nutritionists. Ashario Pets does not make health claims either way — if your dog has a known cardiac condition or you have questions about diet selection, speak with your veterinarian before switching foods.
Feeding & use
Follow the feeding guidelines printed on the bag, adjusting for your dog's weight, age and activity level, and keep fresh water available at all times.
When transitioning from another food, mix in increasing amounts of the new kibble over 7 to 10 days so your dog's digestion has time to adapt. Reseal the bag and store it in a cool, dry place; the 2.21 lb size is the easier choice for very small dogs or for trialling a new recipe.
How does it compare to other dog dry food brands?
Compared with other dog dry food brands on our shelves, Belcando's Finest Selection line is distinguished by its small-breed-specific formulation and its single named protein. Our team in North York can walk you through protein options and bag sizes if you're deciding between recipes.
