Purina - Pro Plan Hydra Care Cat Supplement Pouch

TL;DR: Purina Pro Plan Hydra Care is a liquid hydration supplement for adult cats, served in single-serve pouches alongside regular meals. It is made for cat owners whose cats drink little water on their own and who want to support urinary and kidney wellness through better daily hydration.

Cats evolved as desert animals with a naturally low thirst drive, so many take in less water than their bodies would benefit from. Purina Pro Plan developed Hydra Care as a palatable, nutrient-enriched liquid format that encourages cats to consume more fluid voluntarily.

It is offered as a supplement, not a replacement for food or fresh water, and works alongside both dry and wet diets.

Who is it for?

Purina HydraCare cat supplement suits adult cats that rarely visit the water bowl, cats eating primarily dry food, and households where the owner wants a straightforward way to raise daily fluid intake. It is also a reasonable option for multi-cat homes where monitoring individual water consumption is difficult.

If your cat has a diagnosed kidney or urinary condition, speak with your veterinarian before adding any supplement to the diet. Hydra Care is a wellness-supportive product and is not a treatment.

How do you use Hydra Care?

Serve the contents of a pouch in a clean bowl alongside your cat's regular meal, or offer it on its own between meals. Always keep fresh drinking water available as well.

Some cats take to the texture immediately; others do better when you start with a partial pouch and build up over several days. Follow the feeding guidance on the packaging for daily amounts.

What else pairs well with it?

Hydration is one piece of a broader wellness routine. Many owners who buy Purina cat supplements also look at Purina - Pro Plan Calming Care Probiotic Cat Supplement for behavioural support, or Purina - Pro Plan FortiFlora Probiotic Cat Supplement for digestive health.

Multi-pet households can pair it with the canine equivalent, Purina - Pro Plan FortiFlora Probiotic Dog Supplement, so both species are covered by the same routine.

Among cat supplements for kidney health, hydration-focused products like this one work best as a consistent daily habit rather than an occasional addition. Pet owners searching for Purina HydraCare cat supplements usually find that steady, everyday use produces the most noticeable change in water intake.
