ZIWI - Chicken Air Dried Cat Food

TL;DR: ZIWI Chicken Air Dried Cat Food is a grain-free, single-protein air dried cat food built around chicken and formulated for adult cats. It suits cats that do better on a short ingredient list, including those avoiding grains, and comes in 400 g and 1 kg bags.

This recipe is air-dried rather than extruded, producing a dense, shelf-stable food with a texture closer to raw-style feeding. The ingredient deck stays narrow: one named animal protein, chicken, and no grains.

What makes air-dried cat food different?

Air-drying concentrates the food, so each piece carries more nutrition per gram than an equal volume of conventional kibble. In practice, you feed smaller portions and measure carefully rather than free-pouring.

The single-protein approach also makes it easier to track exactly what your cat is eating. If you are watching for a reaction to a specific protein, a one-protein recipe removes a lot of guesswork.

Who is it for?

This air dried cat food fits adult cats that do well on a limited-ingredient, grain-free diet, and households that prefer a single named protein. It also works for owners who want a dry-format food without conventional extruded kibble.

The 400 g bag is a sensible trial size if your cat is new to ZIWI. The 1 kg bag makes more sense for daily feeders and multi-cat homes.

Can you rotate proteins?

Yes — many owners alternate proteins within the same air-dried range to keep meals varied. You may also like ZIWI - Beef Air Dried Cat Food, ZIWI - Lamb Air Dried Cat Food, or ZIWI - Venison Air Dried Cat Food.

Feeding & use

Because this air-dried cat food is nutrient-dense, feed smaller portions than you would with a conventional dry food. Follow the feeding guide printed on the bag based on your cat's weight and activity level, and keep fresh water available at all times.

It can be served as a complete daily diet, crumbled as a topper over wet food, or offered in small amounts as a high-value treat. Transition gradually over 7–10 days by mixing increasing amounts into your cat's current food.

How should you store it?

Reseal the bag after each use and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. Once opened, use it within the timeframe printed on the packaging to preserve freshness and aroma.
