Why so many North York pet parents shop on New Year’s Day
New Year’s Day is a common day for last-minute pet supply runs because:
- Many stores operate on reduced hours
- Food and litter run out unexpectedly after holiday gatherings
- People are home and finally have time to restock essentials
- Pets still need their routine — no matter what day it is
And if you’re welcoming the new year with a calm day at home, it’s a perfect time to refresh your pet’s essentials.
