Who is it for?

This formula suits dogs with food sensitivities, skin irritation linked to common proteins, or digestive concerns that benefit from a novel-protein diet. It also works for owners running a rotational plan who want a clean, single-protein option to add to the lineup.

For growing puppies, pure rabbit raw dog food can be part of a balanced plan when paired with appropriate portion sizes and veterinary guidance. Puppies have different caloric and mineral needs than adults, so confirm amounts with your vet before switching.

How does rabbit compare to other single proteins?

Rabbit is the least common of the single-protein options here, which is exactly why it's useful for elimination diets — most dogs have never eaten it. Feeding & use

Keep portions frozen until the day before feeding, then thaw in the refrigerator rather than on the counter. Serve cold or at room temperature, and discard any uneaten raw food after 20–30 minutes.

Daily amounts depend on your dog's weight, age, and activity level. When transitioning from kibble or a different protein, introduce pure rabbit gradually over 7–10 days so digestion has time to adjust.

Is rabbit a good choice after a long walk or trip to the dog park?

Rabbit is lean and easy on digestion, which makes it a sensible post-activity meal for a dog on a single-protein plan. Offer fresh water and allow a rest period before and after exercise.

Handle raw food the way you'd handle raw meat for yourself: wash bowls, utensils, and hands after each serving, and store thawed portions in the refrigerator.
